Weekly Report 6/14 thru 6/21

I think I did quite well this week.

I finished cutting blocks for the wedding quilt and started piecing the top together.
I got 2 client quilts done. I also finished putting the borders on the Moth in the Window quilt.

Part 3 of the mystery quilt in Quiltmaker is all cut and packed to go to retreat with me this next week.

I did take a day off and actually went to shop at a place other than a quilt shop LOL. I went to bookstores and picked up some books on CD. I needed something to listen to on the way to retreat in Idaho, and since I had some gift cards I picked up several.

Thursday was our group meeting here at the house so that took up that day. Friday I quilted on 1 of those 2 clients quilts I got done.

Yesterday DH and I took the day and went out for a ride (about 200 miles) on his new toy.

Today is just a laid back day for Father's Day. Tonight it will be ribs on the BBQ.

I have also been doing a little work on my garden (not this week, but over the past few weeks).

I guess that's it for now. I'll try to get pics at retreat.

Weekly Report for 6/8 thru 6/13

Well I managed to get a few things done this week.
Monday I was out at the LQS for Marti & Me and Open Sew.

Tuesday hubby and I went and made a big circle in our travels. We started out going to Olympia to drop off my embroidery machine for service. It was making some strange noises so I figured it was time for servicing. I don't work on these new fangled machines. Then we went to a small town along highway 12 to pick up a motor for a Bernina 830 that needed replacing. From there we went into Elma and had lunch. Going home hubby made the casual comment that he was going to stop by the Honda place. Well guess what? He went and got a new toy. I'll post pics as soon as e get it home. We left it there so they could install saddlebags.

Wednesday we went and signed all the paperwork on the bike. I also switched out the motor on the Bernina and did some work on a friends Pfaff. She was given this machine and it hasn't been run in a looooong time. Her reverse is still a little sticky so I'm trying to loosen it up.

Thursday my friend Linda came over for our sew day and we continued working on the Moth in the Window blocks.

I haven't gotten the rows sewn together yet.

Here I've sewn some of the rows and am auditioning borders. I'm thinking of using multi colors in the homespuns with about a 4" width.

Friday, it was back down to Olympia to pick up my machine. Then I had to do some computer work for the rest of the day.

Today I went downstairs and did a little re-arranging and straightening. Then I worked on the commissioned wedding quilt (2 sided) that really, really needs to get done. I have all the blocks (85)for the second side done and now I have to set them on point. Then I finished sewing the rows together of the Moth in the Window.

Last Sunday I also loaded this small quilt o the machine and I'm going to try to get this off tonight. This is one that will be going to my Dr's. office.

So this week hasn't been a total washout. I still need to get busy on client quilts. I am trying to get everything out before leaving for a visit with family next month.

That's it for now.

May Report

I know! I Know!
I haven't posted for a little over a month now. I have no idea where the month of May went. I don't really know what I got accomplished but I'll try to remember what I did.
I know I did some work in the garden area.

Here's some of the Irises in my front yard.

Oh yeah. I also started on my new project. Took the car in and had the brakes  completely gone through and new tires. While they had the wheels off I had them send them out to be powder coated (red of course). Now it looks funny with red wheels and blue car. Eventually everything will be painted to match.

I also got around 5 or 6 client quilts complete.

This month started out a little busy. The 1st was a day out at my regular LQS for the Block of the Month classes. Then starting on Tuesday I was at another Quilt Shop to help out for her Customer Appreciation Sale. That lasted until yesterday. I also quilted a couple of small quilts during the week for a friend that needed them for a baby shower yesterday.
Today I worked on a couple of machines and quilted a little on a quilt of mine that is going to the Drs. office. I also pieced a couple of backings for my quilts.
Tomorrow back out to the LQS for the Marti & Me Club and Open Sew.

Well I guess that's about covers it. Like I said; I really don't know where this last month has gone. In a couple of weeks I'll be leaving for our annual Idaho Quilt Retreat. Can't wait!!!
