Finally Back Home

Got back home today from a week long trip. I left Monday to go to Ephrata, Wa. Actually we (my friend that goes to the quilt shows with me) stayed in Soap Lake with another friend, so that we could go Tuesday to a Lecture & Trunk Show by Pamela Mostek. It was a fantastic time. I think we all came away inspired by the talk (if the amount of people at the quilt shop afterwards is any indication). We spent the next couple of days visiting and of course hitting thrift shops. Thursday we left to go to Odessa (about 40 miles away) to set up for their Quilt Show. I've done that show for at least  10 years and it is soooo good seeing all the familiar faces of friends (at least I feel like they're friends after this amount of time).
Here are some pics of some of the quilts at the show. One thing I must say is this show has a good turn out of quilts and show goers.

 hope you like the pics.

Now it's back to reality Have to do a couple of client quilts and on Wednesday another
Beginning Quilting class starts.

Ramblings

Hi All,
Just a little note to catch up on doings.
I haven't gotten too much accomplished this week. Monday had to go to the LQS to pick up a client quilt. Of course had to do a little browsing while I was there. Then went and ran some errands for future projects at a retreat that I will be going to in June. Tuesday was shopping day with DH (nothing spectacular---just grocery shopping).  Believe me----no one will go hungry around here :-). Today---out with DH again. He had a Dr.'s appt., and then we stopped at an Estate Sale (nothing). From there we went and did MORE shopping. I stocked up on flowers today. Came home and filled the planters on our deck, got 2 hanging planters to hang off the front of the deck, and a few for my  little spot in the back yard. Also, got some really nifty solar globes for my little spot.
Tomorrow I need to get the "BLACK HOLE" cleaned and straightened up for "the girls". Tomorrow evening is our little monthly meeting. Then I really need to spend the rest of the week doing at least a couple of client quilts.
Monday I leave to head over to Soap Lake with my quilting show partner (and BFF) to visit with another friend and attend her guild's meeting. We will stay with her for a couple of days then make a short hop, skip and jump to Odessa to set up for a Quilt Show that we will vend at. Back in town on Sunday. I know, I know, it's a tough job--but someone's got to do it (hee, hee). When I get back I'll have some pics of the quilts at the show.

Retreat Time

Last Thursday I left for a 4 day retreat that was just  sew much fun. It was really great seeing friends and aquaintences that I don't get to see that often. I got a little something accomplished, but not as much as I thought I would. I spent a little too much time visiting. That was a good thing (very relaxing). I also taught a Sew Simple Pineapple class. Here are some pics of the retreat.
(BTW, I did finish my Easy Street top, and as I got ready to post the pic of it, I noticed a couple of oopsies! Can you see them? I'll fix those tomorrow).

There were over 100 retreaters this year. Hopefully, a good time was had by all.
