Progress Report & LYOF Goal

I don't know what's going on. It seems the faster I go the behinder I get.
I am trying to get things caught up on the quilting front. The commission quilt I'm working on and trying to get done ASAP is on hold right now because the background for the back side of the quilt (2 sided quilt) was not enough. I couldn't find the fabric here so I went on line and found it at a store in CA. Got that ordered. Should have been here yesterday but found out it was sent to the wrong sorting facility and will take a little longer.
So I start on another quilt and get half way through that one and-----------went to turn on the machine to start up on the quilting again, and everything went black. I figured it was the fuse, so I changed that out. Light came on, I hit the switch to go and------nothing. Black again. Tried another fuse and same thing. Called the repair guy and found out it was probably a board. Did I mention the repair guy is a 3 1/2 to 4  hour drive away. So, needless to say, the next morning (at the crack of stupid) off we go to get the machine fixed. Luckily he was able to get it repaired by 1PM and we were on our way back home.
This month is a busy one for me. Next Wednesday I leave for Vancouver to vend at a quilt show. I have been getting some inventory together. Also, I have serviced 3 machines that I will take with me to sell. The following week I will be at a retreat from Thursday to Sunday. I will be teaching at this retreat, so I have had to write up instructions for the class and make kits. After I return from there the following Thursday I will be leaving for Odessa, WA. to vend at a quilt show there.
OK. I'm ready for a nap now. Just thinking about this gets me tired :-).

This month I'm also going to try to get my car quilt finished. This is the quilt I will carry in my 1962 Ranchero when it gets all fixed up. You can read about that project HERE.

This will be my goal for Lovely Year of Finishes.

Well I guess that's about it for now.
Til later,
Hugs & Stitches,
Mary
