Taking a Quilting Break!

I have been so taken with quilting lately that I really needed a short break from it.

This weekend McClendon's had their annual plant sale. Time to spruce up the yard. We went Friday morning early to beat the crowds. We got all  kinds of plants for the planters for the front porch (6 of them) and 5 hanging plants (4 for the front and 1 for my area). Some of the plants were extra for my little garden spot.
After I got everything planted in the front planters I went to the back to start cleaning up my spot. I do mean CLEAN. I had all kinds of weeds in the planters that I hadn't cleaned up from last fall. I spent all day and part of the next working in my little area. It still needs some work, but I think it's looking pretty good. I also had to plant all the Herb's that I had started and had in the kitchen window.

Here's a few pics of the progress so far.

All in all, a pretty good 2 days time well spent. I only hope I can get all the dirty grime out from under my nails :-).

Today it's back to the real world (that would be quilting). I have to be out at the LQS for Block of the Month.

Til later,
Hugs & Stitches,
Mary
