I am going to try a new challenge this year. If you go to Val's Quilting Studio you can read about it.
This seems pretty simple. I just need to throw my spare change into a jar (piggy bank) for the next year (along with an occasional bill) and then see how much I've saved in that year. I can then use this for quilty stuff to reward myself. FUN!!
Here is the jar I will use for my piggy bank.
You think I will be able to fill it? It's a gallon size. To get to the particular post on this go here.
If I save enough I think I'll treat myself to a new toy (like a vintage machine on my wish list).
Til later,
Hugs & Stitches,
Mary
Hey Mary! Whoot Woo! Sooo glad you are joining in a little bit of harmless fun! I'm definitely going to have to be more intentional on throwing in the dollar bills....as I only had like $30.00 in change. (I don't spend money a lot....the husband always has pockets full of change) And would love to save enough to buy something cool...like your vintage machine idea. Now ya have me thinking...
ReplyDeleteJust a warning. Vintage sewing machines are addictive!!! Ask me how I know :-).
DeleteAnd I only have one vintage machine! So far I'm just getting ideas for spending this "found money"! Great jar. You can fill it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your penny pinching. I will be dumping my leftover change and bills each week so I should see quite a haul. Vintage machines can be very addictive.......and they take up space! LOL. It will be fun to check in with everyone through the year to see how things go.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. I hope you fill the jar.
ReplyDeleteYes I think you can do it. Great idea for a vintage machine. Would love to see your purchase.
ReplyDeleteA gallon jar should hold lots of money!
