Busy, Busy!!

I'm trying to get out quite a few quilts by Monday for clients. Guess this means I'll be buried down  in the "Black Hole" the rest of this week. I have 3 more to go. I finished this one yesterday afternoon.

She will be picking this up today and I hope she likes it.

I had to get this pic of my 2 furry kids the other day enjoying the sunshine.

That's it for this post.

End of Month Progress

I did manage to get my project for A Lovely Year of Finishes complete.

It is quilted and bound and ready to make the trip to my Dr's office on my next visit.

I have to admit I didn't do so well on the other items I wanted to finish for Judy L.'s finish it up projects. Of course the month isn't completely over yet!

I did however get the top done on a class sample.

I have also been busy cutting projects for a quilt retreat that I will go to at the end of June. I am sooooo stoked to do this one. There are about 30 of us that go. We will be "on a mountain top" that was an old ski resort in Idaho. It is now set up for retreats. I have got a lot of projects to take. Possibly enough for a month stay instead of just 4 days.

One last thing I have to post is pics of a couple more of my Irises that have bloomed. I am so tickled with them. This has been to best year for my Irises so far.

That's it for my post today.

Things are Blooming!!

Oh the weather has been lovely lately. Although yesterday we did have an oops (windy and rainy). I was walking around the front yard this morning and just had to get a picture of some of the Iris' blooming.

The first Iris is really more on the burgandy side in color. The third pic--the Iris is a dark purple in the center and the fall is closer to black. I had to get a pic of the Azalea in front of the house. It has soooo many blooms. The name of the azaela is Mother's Day.
I haven't gotten too much accomplished today as far as quilting. I did try to do some taming of the scrap bin though. I cut up some 2 1/2" strips and squares from the bin and did some straightening up of the cutting counter.
Tomorrow it's off to the LQS for part 3 of Beginning Quilting. Tonight I have a binding to work on while watching Bonnie on quilt cam.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Nose to the Grindstone!!

Trying to get caught up on work. I have 2 quilts to get out this week and 2 days of classes. Monday I was at the LQS (Gee Gee's Quilting) all day for the BOM. Today was quilting one of the quilt's that need to  be out this week. Here it is.

Tomorrow I am back out to the quilt store for Part 2 of a Beginning Quilt Class. Then Thursday the second quilt gets loaded and done.
Hopefully by the weekend I can get some me time in for sewing. Of course I could just barricade myself in "the Dungeon" this weekend and sew and watch the Harry Potter marathon on Disney :-).
We'll see.

Goal Setting

Well it's time to get back to trying to get things done during the month. I sort of slacked off the last couple of months.
For The Lovely Year of Finishes this month I would like to get this quilt quilted and bound. This quilt was given to me  to finish and take to my DR's office (oncologist) to be given to a patient receiving chemo.

My May goal setting for Judy L's (Patchwork Times) site is as follows:
#1 See Above quilt
#2 Finish challenge blocks from Paws to Sew Group

#3 Try to at least have a flimsy for the Frog Work pattern. I have all the embroidery finished.

#4 Make another 5 Reach for a Cure totes.

That should keep me busy for the month if you add in the classes I'll be teaching this month as well as client quilts to do.
BTW, I just took this one of the machine today.

That's it for now.
