End of the Month for May Progress

Boy I'll tell you. This month has flown by.
Here's my progress since the 15th of the month----
The 15th was a Thursday, which is the meeting day for Paws to Sew Group. We gathered together early so we could get started on the Reach for a Cure totes.

The 16th I delivered 17 totes to the cancer center. Then I accomplished nothing further for the day.

Saturday the 17th I actually quilted 2 client quilts and then loaded another so I could get a fast start the next morning.

Sunday I got that quilt quilted.

Monday I was out at the LQS for a class and picked fabric for the next 3 Marti & Me club meetings.

Tuesday I quilted another client quilt.

Wednesday back out to the LQS for another class.

Thursday quilted another client quilt and then pieced a backing for another quilt.

Friday--well what can I say. My DH and I went to Packwood (see previous post Here). Here's a better pic of the treadle I brought home.

Saturday & Sunday I spent time working on some of my things (oh the audacity). I sewed a little on my hexie project. I have put all individual the snowflakes together that I had cut out. I am now starting to sew them together to see how big this will be, and figure out how many more I will need.

I also did a little crocheting and embroidery.

Monday started the whole ball of wax over again. I quilted 2 client quilts and pieced a back for one of them.

Tuesday I actually started out the day by quilting one of my quilts. Of course it was a smaller throw size. It is one that is destined for my Dr's office. Then I quilted a client quilt and loaded another before my day ended.

Wednesday spent ALL day on one client quilt (it was a biggie).

Which brings us to today. I loaded a quilt, then DH and I went to run some errands. One of which was to pick up  this little beauty.

I just couldn't help myself. I had to bid on it and wonder of wonders------I won.
After our errands I came home and quilted the quilt I had loaded before we left.

Tomorrow-------2 more quilts to quilt. And the next day --and the next day---and the ------well you get it.

That's it for now.

Well I did it Again

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.

My DH and I decided we were going to have a  little outing and go to Packwood for the day. This is a small town and every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend they turn the town into one big swap meet. I was actually very good while we were there. I only bought 5 yards of fabric. I saw a few interesting things, like 2 Featherweights, but the asking price was WAY too high. One was $345.00 and the other was 425.00. They stayed right where they were.

After we left there we thought we would stop down the road at Randle. They usually set up a small swap meet behind the fire station. Well that's where I did finally go gaga over this----

Once again, I can't get these in right side up. I used my ipad to take the pics, and even though I rotated them in my photo edit thingy (technical term) they still post sideways.
Anyways, this is a White Rotary Treadle that was at the first booth we stopped at. It is in really good condition. Even though it has a belt, I will replace it cause it looks a little iffy on lasting. The machine has it's box of attachments and the manual.
What can I say---if I can't buy fabric-----might as well get a machine :-).

May Mid-Month Report

I've been a very bad person. I haven't posted anything in about 2 weeks. All I can say for myself is it's been busy.

I'll start on Monday the 5th.
Monday-out at LQS for Block of the Month all day.
Tuesday-Quilted client quilt. Cleaned an area of the "black hole" so my group had room to sew on meeting day.
Wednesday-Went to LQS. Finished binding  on client quilt. Cut sashing and cornerstones for Spool quilt I am trying to finish.
Thursday-had errands to run. Worked on tension on Gammill. Loaded client quilt. Sew up some inventory items for future shows.
Friday-quilted client quilt. Sewed sample for Marti & Me Club. Loaded another client quilt.
Saturday and Sunday-no work, DH had plans for Mother's Day weekend.
That brings us to a new week.
Monday-LQS for Marti & Me Club.
Tuesday- back out to LQS to meet with client that wants 2 quilts made. Came home and did errands.
Wednesday-cleaned another area and set up machines for group meeting this week.
Thursday-the group (Paws to Sew) met and we sewed 17 Reach for a Cure totes. for the cancer center. I will deliver them tomorrow.

After delivering those I need to come home and quilt that client quilt I've had loaded for a couple of days now. Between now and Monday I need to quilt 3 quilts to deliver on Monday. Between that and the other (I don't know how many) quilts I still have to quilt, I have 3 commissioned quilts to do. Man, I love the pressure :-)!!!!!!!!!!! I thrive on it. I think I'm starting to get my mojo back. I had been having trouble getting started on things lately. I think it was a little burnout or something.

I know this post doesn't have any pics, but I really haven't done (or bought) anything to take pics of.
On of my ladies at the Marti & Me Club (she also comes to the BOM the week before) made the comment "Well Mary, it's been a week. Have you  bought any machines?"  (That's not to say I haven't tried.
So with that said, I will try to do something interesting this week and get pics to post.
