9/20 through 9/26 Progress

Sunday-worked on samples for Marti & Me Club.

Monday-out at LQS for Marti & Me Club.

Tuesday-nothing done as I had to go for a "procedure". Let's just say I'm glad that one is done for the next 5 years. No sleep the night before, so I snoozed most of the rest of the day.

Wednesday-downstairs and worked on some of my stuff. I should have done some client quilts but have just had a hard time getting started.

Thursday-BQB came over and we worked on inventory as we are getting ready for a show next weekend. I stuffed the pincushion part of 47 scrap/thread catchers.

Friday-spent the day downstairs going through my quilt tops that I have had stacked up for forever. I have LOTS of unquilted tops. I have finally decided that I am not going to get all of these quilted in my lifetime. I decided, that if I'm not going to quilt them, I might as well sell them. I have kept the ones that I really feel I will get done. The rest are going with me to the shows I vend at. I feel these would make good practice quilts for someone that is just getting into long arming, or someone that likes the quilt top itself. Here are a few of the ones I'm selling.

I have somewhere between 30-35 tops of various sizes that are going. A lot are tablerunners, table toppers, lap quilts and a few larger size quilts.

Saturday-I will be out at the LQS teaching the final class on Beginning Quilting. The students actually are doing a fine job and should be ready for the basting of the quilts and final instructions on quilting ideas and binding.

That's my week. Hope your week was full of quilting.

In other words, not any quilting done this week. What can I say. I'll try to do better next week.

9/6 through 9/12 Progress

Let's get this week started.

Sunday-had a Beginning Quilting Class out at the LQS on Sunday. Four students, and they all seem like they are going to be on the ball and quick learners.

Monday-put one of my quilts on and got it quilted. The quilt is Star Struck. One of Bonnie Hunter's patterns. After I got that quilted, I loaded client quilt and got that one quilted. I loaded another client quilt so it will be ready to go in the morning.

Tuesday-was a really *###*! day. I got the client quilt loaded the day before to get a start on it this morning. When I loaded it I noticed a few little problems with it (a little rippling here and there), but nothing really too serious that couldn't be "quilted" out. Well when she pieced the back, the selvedges were left on. I guess there was some rippling on the back too. I get about a 1/4 of the way through and find "folds" on the back. Soooooo, now I have to un-pick and get this straightened out.
I also put the borders on my "Bonnie" leader and ender spool quilt. I guess tomorrow I will load another client quilt and work on that.

Wednesday-just couldn't get it together. I did load another client quilt on. I quilted a couple of passes on it and quit for the day. Just couldn't get the mojo going after yesterday's frustrations. I did finish sewing the binding down on Star Struck.

Thursday-BQB came over and we got right to work. I have the borders on the Spool leader and ender from Bonnie Hunter from 2 years ago. And I pieced the back from all the left overs, and got the binding ready for the quilt.

I also finished Part 3 (I skipped Part 2 for now) of Celtic Solstice.

BQB got this done. It's a project that our sewing group is doing and we have to have our final top done by October meeting. Each one of us is doing something different in fabrics that we have chosen. I'll post mine sometime next month (I hope).

Friday-quilted client quilt and got another one loaded ready to start on.

Saturday-out at LQS for the second class of the Beginning Quilting. Students were ready and actually had done some homework done.

That's about it for this week.

8/30 through 9/5 Progress

Here we start another week. I really have to get on the ball and push myself to start getting client quilts done. I am so buried in quilts.

Sunday-worked this morning getting labels and signs printed up for inventory and such for the next quilt show.

Monday-worked a little on some of my stuff. Did a few pieces on Celtic Solstice. Quilted a client quilt (actually, a small wall hanging). Loaded another client quilt on and got it started. Also got the next block made for the BOM out at the shop I do the BOM class.

Beginning Part 1 of Celtic Solstice

                                                          Client's Wallhanging

Tuesday-finished up the client quilt and loaded another one on and got it started. Did a few more pieces on Celtic Solstice. Worked on one of the Row by Row rows.

                                                                   Client's Modern Quilt

Wednesday-Finished quilting client quilt

Thursday-Lost day for quilting as I had an eye doctor appointment. Been seeing little floaties in my right eye so  time to get them checked. Everything is fine, just aging eyes. Rest of the day was going to get prescription filled for new glasses and having client come and pick up quilt.

Friday-BQB came over and we worked on our UFO's. We got quite a bit done. I worked on Part 1 of Celtic Solstice. BQB worked on a couple of our group challenges.

                                                           Part 1 Celtic Solstice-DONE!!!!

BQB's Challenge from 2 or 3 years ago.

                                                        BQB's Challenge for this year.

Saturday-Gone all day to Packwood for their Labor Day sales. They have the whole town set up with vendors. It will take us most of the day to walk the town and then on the way back we stop at another spot that has vendors set up. I'll try to behave and not buy any machines (lol).

That's it for this week.

September Goals

Here's my list for September. Let's see how well I do.

1. Scrappy Spools-get blocks put together into a flimsy. Just needs borders.

2. Vintage Tin block-finish block started last month.

3. Celtic Solstice-yes I know. I have parts cut out but not done, so, I will try to get Part 1 done.

4. Clean pile of fabric that is stacked up by cutting table (this is stuff that is stacked in a box on the floor between my cutting table and ironing board.)

5. Quilt Star Struck from Bonnie Hunter free patterns.

I think this will be enough for now. I will still be working on inventory for shows and trying to get caught up on client quilts.
