Gypsy Wife Progress

Haven't done much this week.

I've been working on inventory for a quilt show that I will be vending at in about a week and a half.

Thursday my BQB and I worked on the Gypsy Wife Blocks.

Once again, mine are on the left and BQB's are on the right. I have finished with my blocks and at our next get together I will be starting on the assembly of the top. YAY!!!!!!!!! This project has been sooooo much fun.

Hopefully this week I can get a couple of quilts done for clients. I also need to quilt the raffle quilt for the retreat in mid April. No pressure, right?

Well I just took a short break to post this. Now I have to get back to work.

Gypsy Wife Report

This week I haven't gotten much accomplished.
I did go get taxes done on Friday. Such a relief, and we get money back! Yay!!!!
This has been a run around week for me with DH. That's why no progress in the sewing room.

Thursday was the only sewing day for me. BQB came over early and we went for our walk. Then it was home and go down and work on our Gypsy Wife blocks. We only had until about noon to  work on them because it was also our Paws to Sew Group meeting day.

Here is what we got done (mine on left, hers on right).

We figure we need at least 2 more times to sew on filler blocks and then we will be ready to start putting the sections together. I can't wait!

That's it for now. Hopefully I will have more to report next time.

Mid March Catch Up

Been pretty busy lately.

First let's catch you up on the Gypsy Wife that BQB and I are doing.

Left side mine, right side hers.

We figured we still had two more times to meet before we will be done with the filler blocks, then we can start assembly of the quilt.

Then I sort of played with positioning my skull blocks. This will be free form pieced. No pattern in mind.

I am only going to use black & white fabrics.

I've also gotten a couple of clients quilts off the machine this week. Here is one that I worked on.

This week it's back out to the LQS for the Marti & Me class and Open Sew. I guess I'll be pretty busy for Open Sew. I have 6 students in Open Sew and each one will have a different project they need help on.
I also did up a sample for the Marti & Me for April.

I also got Tropical Punch (original version) quilted and bound.

Other than that, I have been keeping up on my walking regimen. Trying to keep mobile (ha ha). Some days I hit goal and some days not. Oh well.

I guess that's it for now.

Let's Gear Up for March

Boy, I don't know what happened, but Sunday I had a little tickle in my throat. Monday when I got up------yeah, it was raw. By Monday night I sounded like a frog. Now it's in my chest. I don't feel bad, and I don't have a fever, but I sound like I'm hacking my lungs out. Oh well. Hasn't slowed me down much.

This week after finishing Pi-2, I started working on a second version of the quilt I will be teaching at Quilt Retreat in April. Also, got my step out board set up.

You can see my first version HERE
.
I have also finished two client quilts and have a third one loaded.

I haven't been out for any of my walks this week so far, but tomorrow BQB is coming over and we're going to give it a try. After that we'll come home and work some more on the Gypsy Wife blocks. We are both soooo excited to get to the assembly of this quilt.

Left side mine/right side hers----

Here are all of my blocks to date.

This weekend it's back to client quilts. I'm trying to keep up on getting the quilting out in a timely manner so I don't feel so rushed and behind.

That's it for now.
