Same thing--Different day

Well about the only thing I accomplished today was getting another client quilt done. I didn't even do any sewing on inventory for the upcoming show. I think I've got all I'm going to do, done. What I have, I have and I'm not going to stress about it.
So here's the pics of the quilt

That's it for now.

Another day--another Quilt

Well now that I have my head screwed on straight, I got in the groove and worked on some inventory in the morning and got a client quilt done this afternoon. Only 4 more to go! At least for about a week and a half. I know I have more coming in on the first Monday of the month,  The next couple of days I will be getting the rest of my inventory together, cash for the register, and all the other stuff that goes with getting ready for a show.
Here's pics of the quilt I did today.

What's Happened to my Brain?

I don't know what's going on with my mind.
I vend at 1 Craft Show a year. I've done it for the last 21 years. It's always on the second weekend of November. I was talking to my partner in crime (she does the show with me) and she asked me what time we were meeting at the school on Friday to set up. I said, "that's next Friday." She said no it's this Friday. I looked at the flyer----and danged------it's this Friday. All I could say was "Oh -----!". I still have some inventory I want to get done and I'm trying to get the last of my client quilts out before the next batch comes in and on and on and----well you get it. So now I'm rearranging my schedule for the week to get things ready. Oh well, it keeps me on my toes.

Speaking of client quilts. I did manage to get one done before the crisis hit.  Here's a couple of pics.

Hopefully, I can get another quilt on and done tomorrow. And, possibly get some more inventory done. I'm trying to get some reader covers done for this show.
Hopefully, my brain starts working properly soon. This is the second show that I have had the dates down wrong in as many months.
Well until later,

Mary

Back from Retreat

Well I'm back from retreat and I must say, I had a really good time. Nothing like visiting with about 70 friends from all over the state. Good food, good conversation, good sewing, and most important----great friendships renewed and begun.

It was 4 wonderful days.

I must say, I got home last evening and just sat and chilled. Or maybe I should say I was more like a couch potato. DH took pity on me and ordered a pizza. I guess he figured that was the only way to get dinner :-).
Now, it's back to the grindstone. I have about 4 more customer quilts to do and make some inventory for the one craft show that I do in a couple of weeks,
Til then

I have everything packed and resady to go tomorrow. Can't wait!!!!  I'll try and get lots of pictures to post later.

For now I'll post a couple of pics of quilts that I have designed and patterned.

Another one finished!!!

I feel I'm really accomplishing things around here. Another client quilt is DONE!!!

After this I think I'll treat myself, and load up one of my quilts to do.

I thought in this post I'd add a little more about myself.
I have a Gammill Classic. It is a plain jane model. This means it has no stitch positioner, stitch regulator, channel locks----Nothing.  I purchased it in 1996 or 1997 (can't remember--sigh--I miss my mind :-) ). While I have done some more complicated designs with it, I find most of my customers like something a little more simple so that when given to someone it will be used and loved instead of stored away because it's "too pretty" or "it just has to be saved" (if you know what I mean).

As far as personal life--I have a DH that is retired now, 2 cats named Gidget (black) and Moki (gray) and a really spoiled little min pin named Tessa. When I come across pics of them I will post.
Well that's it for now. It's still early enough in the day that I just might go downstairs and load up my quilt (he he).

More Progress

I've made more progress on client quilts. I put one on this morning and finished it up this afternoon.

I've got another one loaded so I can quilt it Thursday.
I have a class tomorrow at the LQS I teach at.
Then after this week I start getting ready to go to a retreat for 4 days. Can't wait.

What a Find

Yesterday I went thrift shop hopping. At one store I found an item that said "sewing table". I figured for the price it was empty.

Soooooo, I opened it up and this is what I saw.

A Singer 301A!!!!!!

Well I plugged it in and it worked, so I couldn'tget it to the front fast enough to pay.  The price---with tax, it came to $21.85.
How's that for a find?
Today, I worked on getting the blocks ready for The Farmers Wife Club that I teach tomorrow. I also quilted a client quilt. Hurray! I'm making some progress.

Today I haven't accomplished much. Although, I finally got my postcards done for a group I'm in. These were supposed to be out by the 30th of September, but I guess, better late than never.

I also have another quilt loaded and ready to quilt, probably, tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to try to catch Bonnie Hunter's quilt cam time.

Well today I got quite a bit accomplished. I finished quilting the client quilt I started yesterday.

After I finished that one I loaded another quilt and finished that one.

That's enough long-arming for today. Tonight I think I'll work on some hand embroideryand relax. Who know's, maybe tomorrow I will be able to load one of my own quilts to do-----imagine that :-)!!

Hi everyone!
This is my first adventure into the blogging world. Bear with me until I get this thing down. I'm one of those that was dragged kicking and screaming into the high tech information highway :-). I will try to post a ittle evey week as to what's happening in my quilting life. One day I may even post some pics of my workshop (as soon as it's presentable). It's been a work in progress for a few years!!!!

At this time I've been pretty busy finishing up vending at some local quilt shows. Now it's down to getting some client quilts finished up. I've already gotten one done this morning and just finished loading another one on. I hopeto get this one done by this evening. Christmas rush is starting for getting quilts in to be done for Christmas.

For my first post I'll post a pic of the last show I vended at (pic of my booth).

The next pic is one of a quilt that a friend and I made for another friend's  wedding.

Well that's it for this trial post.
Write more later.
