I have another finish on my FAL list done!
This is one that will be going to my Doctors office for patients. The owner of the LQS that I teach at is sort of clearing out her stash. She has been making quilt tops from her scraps and some she donates to Dollars for Scholars, Project Linus, and me. She gives me these with the backing and binding so all I have to do is furnish the batting and quilt them for my Doctor's office. I am soooo thankful that she does this for me. I have been making quilts to go to the Drs. and this just an added boost so hopefully I can spread a little comfort and caring for the patients receiving chemo. I have hit the 4 year mark for my diagnosis (and doing good) and am so thankful for this life and opportunity to give a little back.

Thank you for doing this. What an awesome gift!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely quilt and so kind of you to make them for the Dr's office. I'm sure they are very much appreciated :)
ReplyDeleteLove your post title...you cracked me up...and yes....what an awesome gift!!! SMILES!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, you are an inspiration in love and kindness. I have made everyone in my family a quilt and until theirs wear out and they need another, I have been thinking about making them for others. I was thinking about the Wounded Warriors. Quilts are such a loving gift. My granddaughters and daughter live a long ways from us, but I feel like when they wrap up in a quilt that I have made them, they get a hug from grandma. Maybe it's time to spread those hugs out in more directions. I am your newest follower. Please come visit my blog. I am celebrating my three year blogging birthday with a Give-A-Way. It's not much but it is handmade.
