What I Did Today

You know the saying---"Make hay while the sun shines". I took advantage of the nice weather today and got out in my little garden area. Slowly but surely it's starting to come together.
I needed to get some of my herbs planted so I worked on that.

Then, I've been wanting to fix up a little fairy garden. I had an old wheelbarrow that I got at a yard sale for a quarter, so that was going to be for the fairy garden.

I've also cleaned up and mucked out the pond. DH put up an electric wire around it to keep out the raccoons. Last year they cleaned up on my fish, so now I'll give it another try and see if the fence works. I just have to remember to beat the cat out of the door in the morning to turn it of during the day.

The rest are just general garden spots. I still have to work on some areas. Next round I want to pick up some annuals and get them planted in my area and some pots on the front deck of the house.

Garden Entry

Now that I have that done for the day I think I spend some time working on my hexies. I've made some pretty good progress but still have a ways to go on them.
Tomorrow it's back to making inventory for a quilt show we will vend at this next weekend.

Goings On from 4/7 thru 4/15

Well where do I begin? First things first.
When I got home from the quilt show last week, I had this waiting for me.

Meet Sadie!!! My new Candy Apple Red baby.
The problem was-----I didn't have time to play with her. Sunday was spent doing paperwork from the show, and balancing everything out.
Monday-out at the LQS for Block of the Month(from 9AM to 7 PM.).
Tuesday-Finishing step outs for the second class I was teaching at retreat.
Wednesday-Picking up client quilt and going to friends house to load up her stuff for retreat.
Thursday thru Sunday-RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
I finally got to give Sadie a workout at the retreat. She sews beautifully!
One of the classes I taught at the retreat was Costa Maya. Here are some of the ones being worked on--

Here is a pic from the second class (Feeling Groovy) that I taught.

This is the Raffle Quilt that my friend Linda made for the retreat and I quilted it.

All in all it was a very good 4 day retreat.

Monday-it was back out to the LQS for the Marti & Me Club. Out there from 8 AM until about 3 PM.
Tuesday-Deliver the Reach for a Cure Totes to the Cancer Center and run some errands.
Today (Wednesday)-Spent time in sewing room cutting 22 more totes and some other stuff for inventory. Next week we have another quilt show.

I didn't do my stash report this last week so I will just report everything up to today.

Fabric in: 6 yards

Fabric Out:  38 1/4 yards

Progress Report 3/31 thru 4/6

This week is going to be crazy.

Monday-Laundry (so I have clean clothes for the weekend) (vending at a quilt show), pulling out bins of inventory to get ready to load for show, assembled 5 mini table runner kits, made up three 2 1/2" scrap enhancement packages, sewed up display sample of mini tablerunner kit.
Tuesday-went to bank to get change for register for show, load  inventory into van, worked out in the garden in the afternoon since it wasn't raining. I have now cleaned all the flowerbeds and gotten rid of the "rock" gardens and re-did those spots. I've also put out all my solar lights. That garden is really going to be lit up at night.
Wednesday-left early to go to Vancouver (WA) to set up for Quilt Show. I will be there until Saturday vending at the show. While there I also spent time after show hours (in the motel) writing up a pattern for the class I will teach at retreat this next week. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. :-)

Here is some eye candy from the show. Enjoy.

This is the Best of Show. Not a good pic but the lighting wasn't real good and they had extra lights in front of it. It had crystals all over it.

This is the front.

This is the back.

Of course, found a Bonnie Hunter Celtic Solstice.

That's it for now.
